Letters: Tim Scott a real profile in courage

It’s a shock how Sen. Tim Scott is treated by critics (“Scott takes aim at intolerant liberals in Senate speech,” Feb. 10). This fine man should be admired for his conservative views.

I have been honored to vote for him and for Sen. Lindsey Graham. But Sen. Scott in particular has taken such a level of vitriolic abuse that if he had been in office when John Kennedy wrote Profiles In Courage, he certainly would have a chapter in that classic book.
