Letters: We get the government we deserve

The state of our roads is not our lawmakers’ fault. If we don’t have the money to address this major, ongoing problem, we can add another tax. But beautification, apartments, ball fields and other extras that serve a minority of our citizens have taken priority over our roads and sewer system, which serve everyone.

So who is really to blame? The voters who keep re-electing self-serving representatives who can’t make the right decisions on using our tax dollars.
