Letters: Columbia annexation brings higher taxes, not service

xI have some advice to people the city of Columbia wants to annex: Do not do it. The city will not do anything for you after you do except take your money and tell you mistruths. You won’t get anything you ask for from the city unless you live in a high-price neighborhood.

I lived in Eau Claire in 1955 when it was annexed. My dad told me then that this was a big mistake, and look what they have now.
