Letters: Who knew gas tax wasn’t only increase in roads bill?

Boy, do I feel duped. The “gas tax” bill that I thought I supported turned into a bunch of new taxes, not just a gas tax. It is no wonder we continue to hear people say “drain the swamp.” Now I understand why Gov. Henry McMaster vetoed it; he knew it included items most voters would not approve.

I feel sure I am not the only one who believes that our politicians were not up front about all of the add-ons in this bill. I have been tricked and duped. Do you think it’s time to change a few politicians? I do.
