Letters: Trumps showing selective outrage over joke

NYT

For maybe the first time, I agree with President Donald Trump: Kathy Griffin’s “joke” was sick. However, I was never much of a fan of hers anyhow.

But his reaction as a “father,” and Melania’s reaction as a “mother,” mirrored my own reaction to Mr. Trump’s statement that he could grab women inappropriately because he was famous.

And to this mother of daughters, his agreement with Howard Stern that Ivanka was a good-looking “piece of a--” was as disgusting as Kathy Griffin’s “joke.” Where was their outrage about this?

You want to talk about outrage? Poll some parents to see how they felt about that rhetoric. And ask them, too, what they think about Mr. Trump’s parenting.
