Letters: Stop favoring special interests

It appears from Cindi Scoppe’s May 23 column (“Should we subsidize pensions for 11 lobbying groups?”) that various pseudo state governmental entities are available to assist seniors. As a native South Carolinian in my 70s, I am not aware of any state agency that has ever assisted me. We need to drain the South Carolina swamp so we can have money for roads, education, medical care, etc.
