Letters: Republicans always win in SC
Recently there have been several letters to the editor that advocate voting current elected officials out of office.
Dear friends, please remember that we live in an uncompromisingly red state where voters would elect a ham sandwich as long as it ran as a Republican; several voting pockets in the Upstate would elect just the bread, as long as there was a GOP promise of ham to come later, and perhaps even cheese, lettuce and no health care.
Our elected representation has aligned firmly with the morals and values of the Leader of the Free World, American President Donald J. Trump; this is what the S.C. voting majority wants, and it’s what we’ll continue to get.
A single-party system is not healthy, but a return to bipartisanship will have to come from other states. We won’t do it in South Carolina. Resistance is futile, so relax and embrace the inevitable.
