Printing a letter that calls the president a “buffoon” is beyond belief (“‘When do they start laughing at us?’ Now,” June 9). You may not like him, and he brings some of it on himself, but at least he is not sneaky. At the very least, you should have respect for the office.

I had many thoughts about the incompetency of Barack Obama, and I found the exaggerations and truth stretching in his two books unbelievable, but I never called him a buffoon out of respect for the office. Recall the children’s taunt: “It takes one to know one.”
