Letters: Why change Columbia’s flag?
I do not understand the need to change the Columbia city flag. It appropriately displays the city seal and some of the crops that made the city grow.
We seem to be in a mode to convert the city into a playground with eradicated history, considering a multi-million-dollar ballpark, a desire to convert our State House grounds into a picnic area and now to eliminate the traditional flag. All of the proposed flags appear to me to be from some third-world country. Please leave our history alone.
