Letters: State can easily improve teacher retention

I didn’t realize teacher retention was such a big problem in South Carolina (“Key challenge for S.C. schools: teacher retention,” July 3). But there’s a simple solution: If South Carolina produced a safe environment for teachers and the students respected their teachers, the teacher retention rate would rise.
