Letters: People must stand up to Trump

President Donald Trump
President Donald Trump NYT

I am aghast that the president would even dream of asking for so much information about voters. It’s no business of the president when I’ve voted, what my Social Security number is, where I live, etc.

Why doesn’t he do the job he was hired for, instead of tweeting in the middle of the night? He alienates our allies, coddles our enemies and lies to his supporters and the nation as if he is the second coming.

This man is dangerous, and I worry about our children and grandchildren living with a country he is destroying. I’ve often said God help us, but I’m not sure he will help us anymore. We sit here like sheep waiting to be led to the slaughter. I know many people who are furious at his antics, but they do nothing. The Congress is using him as cover for all legislation that too is tearing this country apart.

When will people say enough is enough? If we don’t improve the educational system in this country, we will have more people who can be reeled in, lied to and then vote for crooks like Trump. Since he was elected, the country has become a laughing stock of the world.
