Stop looking for trouble
Has this country gone around the “stupid” bend forever? In the riots in Charlottesville, why would anyone want to be in the midst of that chaos? Anywhere there are Nazi flag wavers, skin heads and boys in the hoods (KKK), I’m gonna run like crazy in the opposite direction.
And the white nationalists weren’t the only ones fighting. So get off of Donald Trump’s back, too. It takes two sides to riot.
The Confederate flag is gone from the State House, and it should be. The statues are disappearing. But then what? You can’t rewrite what’s been done. We haven’t learned a thing from the past, have we?
Like it or not, we are a country of free speech. I am not threatened when someone does not see eye to eye with me. Where does it say we have to all feel the same about everything? Where have respect and accountability gone? These are the things we should be keeping alive — not a 150-year-old war that began as a lost cause and was morally bankrupt to begin with.
