Arpaio pardon endorses lawlessness

Former Sheriff Joe Arpaio has for decades dominated the law enforcement scene in Maricopa County in Arizona with a special mix of racism, terrorism and anarchy.

His years of lawless behavior were brought to their disgusting fullness when he was convicted of criminal contempt of a federal court order.

The decision was based on Arpaio’s willful, open and forceful disregard of and actions contrary to the order of the court prohibiting his unlawful conduct.

President Trump has now pardoned this lawless behavior and thus affirmed his ignorance of and disrespect and contempt for the rule of law that underpins our republic.
