Stop complaining about voter ID

James H. Knowles-Tuell’s Aug. 21 letter, “Getting a SC photo ID is tougher than you realize,” is absurd.

For the same reasons presidents no longer ride in convertibles, safety seals on medicines are mandatory and airport security is a necessity, obtaining a proper photo ID is for the protection of everyone.

To gripe about the unfairness or inconvenience of it all is meaningless.
