Clean house at Santee Cooper

I noted with “I can not believe this” interest that the Santee Cooper board, in the wake of the colossal fiasco at the V.C. Summer nuclear expansion project, is diligently working on a severance package for its ousted chief executive.

It seems that his $527,187 salary for 2016 was mistake enough, and now a severance package?

A better idea for board members: Strip the CEO of his watch, and anything else of value that can be sold to recoup ill-spent project dollars, and show him the door. Then, hang heads, grab your own golden parachutes, cover faces from TV cameras, form-up single file, quickly follow him out the same door and scatter to your own private devices.

This crowd, and so many flawed pseudo public servants and politicians, continue to amaze us with their elitist expectation that the public is of insufficient intelligence, awareness or power to resist or penalize their sovereign missteps and gross incompetence.
