Use dividends to cover SCANA costs
SCANA says it wants ratepayers to pay another $2.2 billion to cover its expenses for the nuclear reactors it has abandoned.
For the first six months of 2017, SCANA reported a profit of $292 million. If you multiply that profit by the nine years it has been building these reactors, that’s far more than $2.2 billion.
The utility should not get another dime from us.
