Moving chicken plant is good for everyone

I think the chicken processing plant in West Columbia should be moved to a more suitable location so development of the riverfront can proceed unimpeded. Private or public buses could be provided to help the workers get to and from the plant. This way, workers would not lose their jobs or benefits, and the city, county and state would continue to benefit from the taxes paid by the company. A win-win for all.
