Graham bill’s money a pittance compared to what SC gives away
The State noted that U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham’s bill to replace the Affordable Care Act would have increased federal health-care dollars to South Carolina by $3 billion by 2026 (“Graham’s health-care repeal could be short-term boon for federal spending in SC,” Sept. 23).
But we are already foregoing more than that in annual federal health-care dollars by refusing to accept them on behalf of lower-income residents of our state. How smart is that?
