Wednesday letters: We must protect our environment

My blood was boiling after reading the March 30 story, “S.C. highway commissioner targets environmental groups.” What is wrong with Transportation Commissioner Mike Wooten — and with Sens. Greg Hembree, Sean Bennett and Paul Campbell, to name a few?

Once you destroy this beautiful environment God gave us, there is no putting it back.

I agree with S.C. Coastal Conservation League lobbyist Ann Peterson Hutto: These anti-environmental bills will hurt the public. Please don’t give up. There have to be some people out there who will care.

Step up to the plate, senators, and Gov. Nikki Haley as well. All you people see is dollar signs. Help. Please someone, save our state. This is totally out of control.
