Like most football fans, I have opinions about players taking a knee during the national anthem. Not unlike us, players also have opinions, and feel compelled to share them.

Thank God we have outlets to voice our opinions. Many Americans have sacrificed everything so that we can do just that.

This has not changed in the past 242 years (you may also have an opinion on this). In fact, with the advent of social media, it is easier than ever to get one’s opinion out to the masses. I will likely always be a football fan. Fortunately for me, as a fan, a veteran and a citizen of this great nation, I can make a personal choice to tune it out and turn it off as I see fit.

God bless America, and God bless those who have fought and those who continue to fight for our freedom.
