Lawyer? Check. Nikki Haley pal? Check. But what qualifies her to be governor?

What qualifications does Catherine Templeton have to be governor? I cannot find where she has won an election for anything: not school board, not state representative or senator. The only thing that I can find is that she has a great friend in Nikki Haley.

Gov. Haley appointed her to run the Department of Health and Environmental Control, which she had absolutely no qualifications to lead. She also got a high-level job at the State Ports Authority that she had no experience for. She is a lawyer, period.

She quit the DHEC and ports positions, and I have not spoken with anyone who said that she did a good job. How much did all this cost, and continue to cost, South Carolina taxpayers?
