We can’t afford to be divided

President Donald Trump
President Donald Trump NYT

I wonder if President Trump understands the words that “united we stand, divided we fall”?

It seems he has put the United States on a trajectory of “divided we fall.” He is alienating us from the world through his threats and decisions on the Paris Climate Accord, NAFTA, the Iran nuclear agreement, North Korea and more.

Trump has chosen corporate greed over the environment. He has attacked the First Amendment right of free speech by insulting the press over the reporting of information that is not favorable to him.

He supports efforts that will take health care away from millions so he can claim victory. He has attacked the character of people of color, especially Hispanics and people from the Arab world. He claims the high road on Christianity while violating the very essence of the teachings of Christ.

This country has no guarantee that it can remain a great and united country. We need leaders who will represent us all and make good decisions for us.

I fear for the future of this country under this administration.
