SC dreamers worth $260M? Keep dreaming

NYT

The liberal group in California that made the study says that if Dreamers had to leave it would cost South Carolina more than $260 million annually (“SC’s DACA youth not the only ones who stand to lose if they are deported,” Oct. 21).

After doing the math and assuming that each and every one was employed and paid taxes (can’t stop laughing), each one would have to be making nearly $40,000 per year; taxes and other deductions would reduce this amount to around $30,000. I believe that any rational person knows this is ludicrous

The study also assumes that the jobs they now hold would not be filled by others who are legal, which is ludicrous unless the employers knowingly are paying them lower wages, as the lady said in the article, and would have to pay U.S. citizens minimum wage or more in most cases.

Please stop spinning the liberal agenda. There is absolutely no way these illegals in South Carolina would affect our economy to the tune of more than $260 million.
