Monday letters: Call her reverse Robin Hood

I have this theory that Nikki Haley grew up hating the story of Robin Hood, and fantasized that if she’d ever gotten to hang with the Sheriff of Nottingham, she’d have set things right for the job creators of that era. It’s only a theory, but it explains why our governor is willing to raise revenue from the average Joe, by raising the gas tax, but only if she can offset the tax increase by lowering the already-low income taxes of our most prosperous citizens.

The Sheriff of Nottingham in this scenario is, of course, Grover Norquist of Americans for Tax Reform, and Nikki Haley is Reverse Robin Hood. This isn’t the first time she’s taken from the poor to give to the rich.
