Evangelicals should try love for a change

Many in the evangelical right are showing themselves to be the greatest hypocrites there are. They are quick to point out flaws with people such as 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton, and President Barack Obama, but they turn a blind eye to President Donald Trump.

People such as Franklin Graham, Paula White and Jim Bakker have showed support for the president. Some evangelicals have even vowed that there will be an uprising if President Trump is impeached.

If anyone thoroughly read and studied their Bible, they would see that Jesus was for the downtrodden and the oppressed, not the rich and greedy. Jesus said in Matthew 19:24: “And again I say to you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”

We serve a God of peace, love and goodwill toward man. Not a God of hate, bitterness and division. So for the evangelical right: Do not used God’s words to attack and for bitterness. Learn to love everyone — even those who are different than you.
