Better preschool means smarter kids

The State

Did you realize 90 percent of brain development takes place by age 5? As a teacher, I notice a huge difference in the students who have had the opportunity to attend preschool and the students who have not.

We need to encourage U.S. Sens. Lindsey Graham and Tim Scott to lift federal spending caps so that these programs can be better funded.

What could possibly be more important? This is funding for our future. Children are our biggest asset. Please encourage all of our members of Congress to increase federal spending on high-quality early education, to give children a chance. It will make a difference.
