Lower power bills. Rebate checks. Dominion deal looks too good to be true

Wow. The Dominion/SCANA deal seems almost too good to be true. Kind of like the TERI retirement program and the V.C. Summer building project that the Legislature paved the way for. I’d say all parties need to be careful and look at all sides of this.

Is anyone asking why Dominion would buy SCANA knowing about the nuclear debacle? What’s in it for Dominion? Where’s the money coming from? I hope our legislators will look this deal over thoroughly, though they’re not well known for doing so.

Didn’t someone say if a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is? I hope I’m wrong. I’d love to be reimbursed and be charged a lower rate. I’m just suspicious of how that can be done (and why it wasn’t done before) and where the money is. You always need to follow the money.
