Does Lady Liberty need a face lift for the Trump era?

Save for the indigenous people, Americans are all immigrants from somewhere. My father was born in Hungary and immigrated to this country through Ellis Island in 1922 with his parents and sister. Just across New York harbor from Ellis Island, the inscription on the Statue of Liberty says, “send me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to be free.”

Perhaps, given the repeated disparaging comments from Mr. Trump about people from certain countries or religions and his desire to make America great again and put America first , we should change the inscription to read: “Don’t send us your tired, don’t send us your poor or your huddled masses yearning to be free. Send us your skilled, rich and educated — unless they are from a shit-hole country or have a non-Christian religion. Then tell them to forget it and stay home.”
