There are ways to cut high utility bills

James Bass says his daughter and grand-daughter are paying “more than $400 per month for electricity” (“Dominion-SCE&G deal still costs ratepayers too much”). My house is probably a poster child for energy inefficiency, but I don’t pay anything like $400 a month for electricity and gas combined.

Maybe they should look into conservation measures.
