I, along with my late husband, have always supported the University of South Carolina in a number of endeavors. So I feel the need to question the disparity of the salaries between our football coach and our women’s basketball coach.

Coach Dawn Staley, together with her staff and players, brought us a national championship. USC needs to step up and bring some equality in compensation to our coaching staff.

I am aware that basketball games do not get the draw of fans that football games do, but this should not be the premise upon which compensation is awarded.
