There is no way to prepare for missile attack
How would James Sanderson have us respond to an incoming missile attack (“Start preparing now for missile attack”)? Hide in basements, underground garages, backyard bunkers? An exercise in delusion.
After an attack, the air, water, soil, buildings, food and, yes, people are poisoned. Survivors will suffer a fate too horrible to imagine. Let us pray for cooler heads to find a peaceful way to avoid destruction beyond anything known before.
Do not be fooled into believing an attack will result in anything less than complete loss of life.

The State publishes a cross section of the letters we receive from South Carolinians in order to provide a forum for our community and also to allow our community to get a good look at itself, for good or bad. The letters represent the views of the letter writers, not necessarily of The State.
