How does South Carolina get the Florida drilling deal?
I guess the rule is that if a state has property that belongs to the president and the president is trying to influence the governor to run for the U.S. Senate, it can expect special treatment when it comes to off-shore oil and gas exploration and drilling.
The rest of us will have to live with the danger of oil spills and earthquakes when the oil companies set off their drilling and sonic devices.

The State publishes a cross section of the letters we receive from South Carolinians in order to provide a forum for our community and also to allow our community to get a good look at itself, for good or bad. The letters represent the views of the letter writers, not necessarily of The State.
