Tuesday letters: President needs to help black race

If President Obama and the die-hard Democrats wanted to do something for the black race to level the playing field, they could start by putting pride and respect back into the ghettos.

They could take the healthy people on welfare and organize a community clean-up around the country.

They could fund the materials needed to beautify the run-down squalor that the poor live in instead of supporting other countries with our tax dollars.

They could set up crime-watch stations that could be manned 24/7.

The cities’ police departments could set up communications with crime-watch personnel to ensure that communities and police are acting in conjunction.

The children of the poor could maintain the properties instead of destroying them.

If for no other reason, it may give all peace of mind and a goal to live like human beings.
