Tuesday letters: Politicians know how to play the game
I have little faith in our elected politicians to do anything that would serve the best interests of our state. They appear to vote best on religious grounds — and those are weak at best — refuse to negotiate, and are poor leaders, if they can be called leaders. The one thing they can do, if nothing else, is play the game to assure re-election.
Slip them a fat check here and there, and they will follow your demands like a puppy. The few who really try fail and go home with their heads hung low.
