Monday letters: Focus on fixing SC roads, not beautification

Since when does fixing our crumbling roads and filling in the potholes require beautification? Is the state going to plant flowers and shrubs in the potholes? All the flowers and trees are good for is to lose their foliage, stop up the drains and reduce visibility in some cases.

Leave out the flowers and fix the roads, and see if you still need to tax us to death.
