Tuesday letters: Stop worrying about offending Muslims
I disagree with the intention of the May 7 political cartoon, which suggested there was something wrong with drawing cartoons making fun of the Prophet Muhammad. If we have to make our decisions and plans with the likes and dislikes of radical Islam in mind, it has won. It seems the radicals are the only ones who have any rights, and conservatives and freedom-loving Americans have to take a back seat to those who would destroy our country.
If someone had poked fun at a Christian symbol, would anyone have noticed? Would you have published a protest against this? It is time the citizens of the United States took a stand against the radical enemies of our country and show them we will not be cowed into submission.
