News media are biased; they deserve Trump’s criticism

The collective editorial attack by McClatchy and other news organizations on President Trump just added uniformity to your constant individual attacks on him mercilessly.

He isn’t attacking freedom of speech; he is attacking an unrelenting misuse of news, slanting of news and failing to report news that would be favorable to him. He is attacking journalists who repeatedly shout incriminating questions and show disdain and disrespect for all the administration personnel.

His all-inclusive accusations are deserved as I have not seen anyone in the news media step forward to admit that he is the most dogged official this country has ever seen and that such constant ganging up on him is detrimental to the country. And I have not seen anyone who is willing to praise his success.

American journalism has lost its credibility.

Trump supporters should consider what comes next

Obviously there are a lot of South Carolinians who like Donald Trump. My argument to them is that he is weakening our democracy in a lasting way and that this alone is reason enough to not support him.

The things that prevent one man from gaining too much power in our political system ares the multiple sources of power, the checks and balances that our founding fathers correctly saw and enacted. Trump is attacking several of these independent sources of power like no other president in our history.

He says the news media are “the enemy of the people,” and he has spoken and acted to influence and control our judiciary. These should be independent of influence from the executive branch of government and historically have been. They are an integral part of our checks and balance system.

Do Trump supporters really want these checks weakened or gone when someone else is in the White House?

Trump has nerve to attack LeBron

As most people who follow the tweets of the clown prince of Washington know, calling out both Don Lemon and Lebron James as being stupid just ended up making more enemies for Donald Trump. I am sure if LeBron James appeared on FOX News instead of CNN, Trump would have nothing but praise for him.

What makes my skin crawl about this attack is that LeBron has been so charitable with his money, recently pouring in $87 million to start a school for young poor children, while Trump has outright lied by telling everyone he has given millions to his own foundation. A 2016 article in New Yorker said he had not given one dime to his Trump charitable foundation since 2008.

Cartoon was beyond the pale

I find it extremely offensive that you would run a cartoon that compares President Trump to monsters like Hitler, Stalin, and Mao. Trump has done more for this country in less than two years than any president in recent history. God bless America and Trump.
