Monday letters: Accolades for Veterans Victory House
In this age of constant complaining, I would like to extend the top accolades to the Veterans Victory House in Walterboro. My brother, John Bastas, was there for more than three years before passing away in March. The people on staff do not give 100 percent; they give 200 percent, personal, physical care to each veteran, and they most certainly gave to Johnny. After his passing they sent me personal messages and a memorial book, always giving the utmost respect to all.
I thank everyone there for his ultimate care in all ways and to our family.
Blessings on them; they put out the same fires every day without complaining. Please remind Gov. Haley about this treasure in our state.
