Thursday letters: Huckabee has right values for job

Recently I had the pleasure of participating in a question and answer session with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, and I asked what the first thing was that he would do when he sits down in that chair.

His reply: “Before I even sit down, I’m going to get on my knees and thank God for the opportunity to lead this great country. Then with his help I will lead.”

This had a big impression with me. The governor has not only the knowledge and drive to lift this country up and forward, but the ability to interact with other countries for the betterment of all. A big bonus would be to bring back principles of right or moral conduct, not only in society but also in government.
