Thursday letters: Democratic field sorely lacking

The mainstream media and their close and dear friends in the Democratic Party are having a field day at the expense of the Republicans and their “cast of thousands” vying for the 2016 presidential nomination.

It could be that Democrats simply want to deflect attention from their own pathetic choices. There’s not much to brag about when your choices are an habitual liar and an eccentric socialist. The Constitution requires a free press; nobody said it had to be fair.
