Monday letters: Tolerance should be two-way street

Is “zero tolerance for discrimination” just a one-way street in PC-ville, where only cars with politically correct drivers are permitted?

Do we not celebrate the American virtue of tolerance and respect for all views, regardless of religious or political persuasion? How can there be an open and civil debate about any subject if only one point of view is allowed?

I guess one man’s discrimination is another man’s tolerance, but who or what determines which “discrimination” will be “tolerated”? Shouldn’t the freedom of conscience be extended to Clemson football coach Dabo Swinney?

Coach Swinney should have attended the Palmetto Family Council event where he was to receive an award, in order to send send a clear and strong message that he has, in fact, zero tolerance for all discrimination, Christian and anti-Christian alike.
