Wednesday letters: Evangelicals don’t support immigration
I agree that as disciples of Jesus Christ, we are to minister to everyone in our society, including illegal immigrants. But I strongly disagree with the impression that Pastor Robbie McAlister gives that “evangelical Christians” support his immigration stance (“Don’t assume evangelicals are anti-immigrant,” May 24).
While he is part of a national group supporting immigration, he does not speak for most of the people I know who are biblical Christians.
I would suggest that presidential candidates consider an immediate moratorium on all immigration until a way is found to solve our current crisis.
