Monday Forum: Christians focus on God, not Jones’ rants

The May 18 column by Unitarian Universalist minister Rev. Neal Jones says Gov. Nikki Haley crossed a line in calling Christians to a day of prayer. He is the divider, frequently making derogatory remarks regarding Christianity, but no other religions or beliefs.

Christians are concerned with God’s true word — not what Thomas Jefferson believed or what Neal Jones believes.

As far as separation of church and state, our presidents take the oath of office with their hand on the holy Bible, not the Koran or any other book.
