Thursday letters: More places available now to pay Lexington County property taxes
As part of our office’s overhaul of Lexington County’s banking services, I also worked out an arrangement that should make it much more convenient for people to pay their property taxes.
I want taxpayers to know that on June 1, TD Bank began accepting payments at six county branches: 575 Columbia Ave., Lexington; 4320 Sunset Blvd., Lexington; 1265 Lake Murray Blvd., Irmo; 200 S. Brecon Ave., Swansea; 260 Columbia Ave., Chapin; 1926 Augusta Road, West Columbia.
Property taxes are burdensome enough as it is, and we owe it to the taxpayers to make paying them as convenient and efficient as possible.
