Wednesday letters: Learn from history, move forward on Confederate flag
The unspeakable events that took place at Mother Emanuel A.M.E Church in Charleston have awakened the American conscience. We as Southerners, black, white, Latino and Asian, are creating a new South Carolina for all people. However, there is urgency for South Carolinians to shun our state’s past. We need to learn from our state’s history and move on to a brighter future in this wonderful state. Let’s get on with the business of making South Carolina great for the future for all people.
