Sunday letters: No more prayer complaints?

Just a week or so ago, many were questioning Gov. Nikki Haley’s appearance at a prayer rally. Now in light of the Charleston church tragedy, no one is complaining about Gov. Haley or other public officials praying.

If we go to prayer in a time of crisis, does that not tell us that we need prayer before the crisis? By praying together, we may avoid some of the terrible events that are happening all too often. There is an old saying, “The family that prays together, stays together.” It’s true for a nation.

Lack of church and family are taking a great toll on this nation.
