Monday letters: Lawmakers stole our choice on Confederate flag
Many of us in the Christian faith are taught that the definition of Communion is “an outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace.” Many of us also believe the Confederate flag is an outward and visible sign of an inward and invisible state of hate.
Some choose not to formally worship in a church, synagogue or mosque, but none of us has a choice when it comes to having the Confederate flag so prominently displayed for all to see.
There wasn’t a cross or Star of David on the suspected killer’s license plate. There was a Confederate flag.
It must come down. Now.
