Monday letters: It’s too soon to talk about Confederate flag
If old wounds are picked at, they will become sore. If racial tensions start growing over a flag, then guess who got what he started out to do? With all of the forgiveness being shown by the victims’ families, do we really think that they want a flag to take precedence over the work that God is doing?
Even if it is time to take down the controversial flag, it should not be the focus, at this time. Evil will always try to find the weakest link” and destroy the good that is being done by God through his people.
Nothing should overshadow the love and forgiveness that is being shown, at this time.
