Sunday letters: Confederate flag a distraction from real issues
A few questions: (1) How much did it cost for the Legislature to meet this week? (2) How much did all the security associated with the removal of the Confederate flag cost? (3) How many drunk drivers were arrested during all this activity? (4) How many men (women) were arrested for domestic violence?
Not a single news media outlet addressed these issues. But most South Carolinians had to bear the cost of all this. I hope now that the flag is gone, we can get back to what saves lives.
