Wednesday letters: Democrats worse than Hastert

I agree that former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert’s conduct was reprehensible and an embarrassment to the GOP. As an independent voter, I deplore such shenanigans on the part of any public servant. We’ve been bamboozled too many times by those who have violated our trust.

What about the corruption, scandals, lies and hypocrisy that the Clinton and Obama administrations have committed? There’s hardly any comparison with Hastert’s misdeeds.
